What Red Mum is
I don’t need two hundred results. I need a good shortlist.
That thought started Red Mum. The information about family life in Ireland usually exists, but finding the useful part takes too long. So we do some of the searching, then hand you a short, honest list you can act on.

We research
We start from public information: official websites, listings, maps and opening details. Real places, currently open.

We shortlist
We keep the handful worth considering and leave out the rest. Usually ten, sometimes fewer if that is the honest answer.

You decide
Each guide gives you a map, contact details and what to check before you go, so the final call takes minutes, not an evening.
Who is behind this
Hi, I’m Lisa
I’m a Dublin mum, and for years I ran a small business while trying to keep family life moving. I lost more evenings than I would like to admit searching for somewhere good for a birthday, a rainy Saturday, or a summer camp that actually suited us.
The information was always out there, buried under sponsored results and old threads. Red Mum is the shortcut I wanted: real places, checked, with the useful part up front. Not perfect parenting. Just a bit less faff.
Our numbered lists are editorial shortlists, not official rankings. We research from public information and order by judgement, so number one has not paid to be there and we do not pretend it beat number two by a hair.
